A tracker on a collar is a compromise everybody has quietly accepted. It hangs. It swings when the dog trots. It clacks against the tag. It sits at exactly the height a curious mouth can reach, and on a small dog it is heavy enough that you notice the head dip.
The fix is not a better tracker. It's a better place to put one.
One pocket, sewn in front
Both of our pet vests have the same detail: a small pocket on the chest, sized for a Bluetooth tracker. The tracker slides in and lies flat. It doesn't dangle, it doesn't swing, and it isn't sitting somewhere your dog can work at with their teeth. That's the whole idea. No clip, no silicone sleeve, no extra strap to thread.
It is a very small design decision. It is also the only one either vest makes.
Two versions, for two kinds of weather
The Pet Vest and Cap with Built-In Tracker Pocket is the everyday one — a light striped vest and a matching hat, thin enough for spring and most of summer, easy to get on and off. It fits small dogs and cats, XS through XL.
The Summer Pet Cooling Vest with Hat is the mid-August one. Breathable mesh instead of woven fabric, and an ice pack that slips inside the vest for the walks where the sidewalk is still radiating heat at seven in the evening. Same pocket, same place.
What it doesn't do
Worth saying plainly: neither vest tracks anything. There's no chip in it, no app, no subscription. It's fabric with a pocket. You bring the tracker — whichever one you already trust — and the vest gives it somewhere sensible to ride.
We think that's the right division of labor. A vest that also tried to be a GPS device would be a worse vest and a worse GPS device, and it would need charging, which is the last thing anyone wants to think about before a walk.
